Mavericks vs. Cavaliers Prediction, Prices, and Top NBA Props – Sunday, March 15

For the second consecutive game, the Cleveland Cavaliers square off against the Dallas Mavericks — this time with Cleveland holding home-court advantage.

Dallas suffered a blowout defeat on Friday night, sliding to 1-9 over its last 10 games and ranking 28th in the NBA in net rating across its past 15 contests.

Cooper Flagg remains active for the Mavericks, but the team is expected to be shorthanded, with veterans Klay Thompson and Daniel Gafford both listed as doubtful for this one.

Cleveland continues to hold the No. 4 position in the Eastern Conference and is pushing to climb even higher before the postseason begins. Jarrett Allen (knee) remains sidelined for the Cavs, though Max Strus (probable) looks set to make his season debut after recovering from a Jones fracture in his foot that kept him out before the 2025-26 campaign started.

Oddsmakers have installed Cleveland as 14.5-point favorites. Can they cover at home on Sunday? Below is a full look at the betting odds, a top player prop to consider, and a game prediction.

Evan Mobley OVER 19.5 Points (-106)

Evan Mobley put together an enormous performance against Dallas on Friday, and the Cleveland big man looks well-positioned to follow it up with another strong outing on Sunday.

Mobley logged just 23 minutes and 12 seconds on Friday yet still erupted for 29 points on 12-of-15 shooting. With Jarrett Allen (knee) still unavailable, Mobley should continue receiving heavy usage in the post.

Dallas is missing several of its most important frontcourt pieces for this matchup. Dereck Lively II is done for the season, while both Daniel Gafford and Moussa Cisse are listed as doubtful. The Mavericks already surrender the most points in the paint of any team in the league — 55.8 per game — a number that figures to rise further with Gafford absent.

After coming within one point of a 30-point night on Friday, Mobley appears more than capable of clearing the 20-point threshold again here.

Mavericks vs. Cavaliers Prediction

Cleveland dismantled Dallas by 33 points on the road just two nights ago and is now a heavy favorite in its own building on Sunday.

The Cavaliers should have little trouble handling a short-handed Mavericks squad that is expected to be without both Daniel Gafford (doubtful) and Klay Thompson (doubtful).

Cleveland has not been a particularly reliable against-the-spread team this season, but fading tanking squads at this stage of the year is a straightforward approach. Dallas ranks 28th in net rating over its last 15 games (-12.0), going just 3-12 in that span. The Mavericks have also dropped nine of their last 10 and carry a dismal 8-24 road record.

The Cavaliers have climbed to sixth in the league in net rating for the full season and are expected to roll again in this contest. With Dallas ranking among the worst paint defenses in basketball — giving up 55.8 points in the paint per game — Cleveland’s No. 5-ranked offense should have a field day.

Pick: Cavs -14.5 (-118 at DraftKings)
